Established on 28th June 1694 during the reign of William and Mary. Revenue department known as the 'Stamp Office' housed at New Square, Lincoln's Inn, EC2, London.

The old Stamp Office of Lincoln's Inn was later represented by the Board of Inland Revenue at Somerset House. Produced stamps for over 146 years.
